Seri DXS-3400 switch mendukung 3 mode - Mode IP, Mode LAN dan Mode VPN L2 - yang mengubah ukuran tabel Layer 2 dan 3 untuk efisiensi optimal. Gambar Perangkat Lunak Standar dan yang Disempurnakan Saklar Seri DXS-3400 termasuk perangkat lunak Gambar Standar (SI), dan untuk fungsi tambahan, mereka dapat ditingkatkan ke perangkat lunak Enhanced Image (EI) dengan peningkatan lisensi pesanan yang dipesan secara terpisah. Gambar Standar menyediakan fungsi inti SMB dan SME, seperti pengalihan L2, perutean tingkat-masuk, multicast L2, Advanced Quality of Service (QoS), Operasi, Administrasi, dan Pemeliharaan (OAM), dan fitur keamanan yang kuat.

Enhanced Image mendukung semua fitur Gambar Standar, di samping jalur L3 canggih untuk integrasi perusahaan, termasuk OSPFv2 / v3, Tunneling IPv6, dan fitur multicast seperti IGMP, MLD, DVMRPv3, dan Multicast Source Discovery Protocol (MSDP).
